Hello! 4th and 5th grade students are using all the skills they have learned over the course of the year to finish this last quarter organized and attentive. They are finishing up their biographies, and will begin writing an instructional piece.

Religion lessons are still focused on Jesus’ early ministry.

We will begin reading Beverly Cleary’s Dear Mr. Henshaw to focus on our unit theme person to person relationships.

6th graders are still discovering ancient cultures through literature such as the Great Wall of China, and the Royal Kingdoms of Ghana, Mali, and Songhay, among others. Their writing experience this month will include a compare and contrast essay.

7th and 8th grade students are learning to adjust their reading rate to clearly identify main ideas and key details. They will begin a biographical writing project.
