5th & 6th Grade
As we near the end of the school year, it’s hard to believe how quickly it has flown by! This year was filled with lots of academic learning, but even more importantly, it was packed with opportunities to learn about and share God’s love.
To close out the school year, the 5th and 6th graders participated in several fun activities and outings. We traveled to Perry to pack and deliver meals to homebound individuals through Perry Lutheran Homes’ Project Deliver the Love program. It was a great opportunity for us to show God’s love through our service to others.
We also returned to Perry for our choir tour, where we shared the Gospel through song with residents at Perry Lutheran Homes, Westhaven Community (Boone), and Grace Estates (Waukee). Along with sharing our talents, we enjoyed interacting with the residents and meeting many new people.
Earlier in the month, we had two exciting events in one week. First, we had our Pen Pal Party, where we finally met the pen pals we’ve been writing to throughout the year. We played games, enjoyed tasty snacks, and received words of wisdom from our pen pals. It was fun to finally meet face-to-face!
Later that week, we performed our annual operetta. It was an incredible experience, and everyone did an amazing job!
Have a blessed summer!
