Hello, One & All!
The school year is flying by! "April showers bring May flowers" is a rhyme we enjoy chanting. We’ve discovered that rain not only brings flowers but also lots of worms—and they’ve been fun to hold, observe, measure, and hold again! For those who weren’t as excited about worms, we added a ladybug colony to our science center. We watched them hatch from tiny eggs, wiggle around and eat as larvae, and then transform (morph) into ladybugs with spots! We even fed them raisins while we waited for the weather to warm up—who knew ladybugs would nibble on raisins? Not us!
Our students have grown into kind and caring young people, always seeking ways to help others and serve like Jesus! We were amazed to learn how Jesus ascended to heaven and how He promised to send help for all people to serve like Him—the Holy Spirit! It’s been heartwarming to watch the little ones light up with awe and joy as they learn they can plant seeds of Jesus’ love for everyone.
We also discovered the joy of planting seeds and watching them sprout. Jack and the Beanstalk has been one of our favorite books this April, and we’re even trying to grow our own beanstalks—but they definitely didn’t grow to the sky overnight! We’re learning to be patient as we wait for our plants to grow, giving us plenty of opportunities to become patient friends.
We’re continuing to grow in our ability to rhyme, write letters, numbers, and simple words. We enjoy creating detailed pictures of our studies and the things we want to build. We’ve explored using recycled materials in creative ways and learned how God wants us to care for the Earth.
We can’t wait to see what May brings for all of us—maybe more sunshine, flowers, and opportunities to share God’s love too!
Prayers from Preschool!
